New design and a gender!

Happy Wednesday!!!!

Have you been enjoying this GORGEOUS new blog design!? I am absolutely so so happy about it!

Whitney from Sippy Cups and Pearls is now designing blogs and you should all really go check her out!!! (Tell her I sent you!)
{ www.sippycupsandpearls.com }

Today was my BIG ultrasound! (:

I drank some juice and ate RIGHT before (like literally in the parking lot) and baby seemed to be tired still.
Baby V did not want to get into any position to see anything (and she was having trouble getting her own measurements). After some time baby v moved but decided to put their hands right in front so the "goodies" we're blocked!
We just wanted to know if we were having a prince or princess! FINALLY we were able to see!

We are absolutely overjoyed and cannot wait!!!

Bumpdate {17 weeks}

I hope your weekends are going great!
Husby and I just moved to a new place and so we have been packing, hauling, and unpacking this weekend. The new house is in jambles and the old house is a wreck!
But today we went to church and are going to relax and then back to the grind tomorrow. (:

Here is the baby bumpdate for this week. (:

How Far along: 17 weeks! Yay!!!

Size Of Baby: baby is about 5 inches... Somewhere near the size of an onion, or a turnip.

Maternity Clothes: leggings and yoga pants are my friends. Shirts are still pretty comfy though... As long as they stretch or are lose.

Stretch Marks: none yet!

Weight Gain: uh... I actually haven't weighed myself this week. But I will next week at my appointment.

Sleep: sleep is still the same with some vivid dreams and tossing and turning.

Best Moment of the Week: feeling baby v move!!! It's not all the time, and totally not super distinct but it's there. Teeny tiny little popcorn pops in my tummy. Hehe

Movement: hehe. A little. Sometimes I still get confused which movement is gas, hunger, or baby. Lol

Cravings: the other day I was watching Throw Down With Bobby Flay on food network (I ALWAYS watch food network) and the guy made hot dogs with Mac n cheese on it. I then got OBSESSED and finally had some! Lol pretty good! Lol

Gender: Wednesday we will know!! Eeeee!!!

Belly Button In or Out: in (:

Wedding Ring on or Off: while we were packing, I actually did have to take my rings off. I guess I was swelling a tad bit.

Anything Making You Queasy or Sick: nothing making me sick (: except maybe unpacking hehe

What I Miss: can't really think of anything that I miss a whole bunch. (:

What I am Looking Forward to: finding out the gender, picking a name, buying stuff

Nursery: we will start looking into more ideas next week. We have the baby room though! Now we just need to decorate!

Emotions: happy, excited, blessed, a little nervous, overjoyed, and cheerful

What baby is up to: baby v has mastered the yawn! And also flips, kicks, and somersaults!
Baby V's nervous system is also maturing and strengthening quite quickly.
Baby's hearing is also getting more in tune. (:

Fridays Letters

Dear New House,
I am sooo excited to move into you tomorrow! This last house has done its job nicely but I am ready for this new season! And thank you for having some great kitchen counter space and a nice yard for Sophia.

Dear Sophia Belle,
You make me smile and want to scream every day! You are too adorable when you are cuddling with me or sleeping with your daddy -- but you CANNOT jump on me anymore. It's actually starting to hurt. I am so ecstatic for you have a yard to run around in and now we won't have to drive to the park to play catch. Xoxo.

Dear every pair of pants I own,
I am sad to say this - but we need to take a break. It's not you, it's me! I swear. And maybe someday we can be reunited but for now I need to find something that better suits me (and the growing baby belly).

Dear Baby V,
If ever there is a time to be immodest - let it be next week at our gender appointment. (;
I am already so incredibly in love with you! Feeling the little flutter this morning could have brought me to tears. We pray for you daily and couldn't be happier with you! God has truly blessed us!

Dear Husby,
You take such good care of me! Thank you for being understanding of my ridiculous cries, crazy attitude, and strange cravings the past few days. You are a dream come true! And as always thank you for loving me like Christ loves the church.

Dear follower/readers/friends,
Ya'll (that's my new found southernness coming out) are just amazing!! All your encouraging words and beautiful comments just make my heart smile! Thank you for all the kind remarks to my growing baby belly! You make me feel confident hehe.
And just thank you for even following and reading Captivated By Love. My blog started out as a journal for myself and it has turned into a great place where I am able to inspire people and equally be inspired by you all! I pray Jesus encounters you all in new ways and that the comfort from the Holy Spirit will just overflow through you!

Dear Lord,
I know the past few days the enemy has been trying to rob my thoughts and steal my joy, today was the worst. But I know that when I am weak YOU are strong! I will be victorious and no longer listen to the poisonous lies from the devil! Father, thank you again for giving me this beautiful gift of motherhood and my prayer is that I can grow every day! I love you with all my heart and more.

Reading Psalms

I have a confession -

I have a hard time reading my Bible everyday. I DESIRE to but I seem to always find an excuse to do something else instead. I need to clean or run errands or even watch a TV show. These things are not more important then my relationship with The Lord and yet I still don't take the time out read His Word daily. I know that when I get up and take that time to spend with The Lord, all my relationships seem to benefit.
I have more joy.
More patience.
More peace.

Lately the Holy Spirit has been convicting me to take that time to spend with God. The other weekend my husby and I went to a coffee shop and read together. I LOVED it so much! But I know I need to do it for myself as well.

So........ Baby v is expected to come in 163 days, so I thought it would be fun to read through Psalms during this time (there are 150 Psalms but I know some of those days husby and I will read our devotional too).
I want this to become a second nature. Something so natural that I don't even think about it -- I grab my bible and a warm drink and spend some quality time with The Lord.

I am very excited to see my life change by doing this!

Valentines 2013

So I wanted to write a nice post about our love story in honor of this day of love.... But I have been up since 5am and didn't sleep well, so I am tired!
Maybe I will do that another time.... But a lot of it is in the "getting to know me" section. Hehe

Anyone have special plans with their love today?
My husby has to work today so we might celebrate it a different day. :)

I did get him a funny card and a small bag of flamin hot Cheetos (for my flamin hot husband).

If you aren't doing anything lovey dovey or if you are completely single remember there is a big God that loves you so much and that in itself is a reason to smile!

Sending you lots of valentine hugs from my home to yours!
