I am copying this idea from Ashley at Adventures of Newlyweds who copied it from Jenni at Story of My Life, who got the idea from Kristin at Vignettes. Whew.. okay.. just giving credit where credit is due.
If you really knew me, you'd know that I...
- do not wash my hair every day. I wash it probably every other day... or more. Surprisingly I get the most compliments on my hair when it hasn't been washed in two days. (I still wash my body for all those out there thinking I am stinky).
- went to college for one year and was a music major. I still have a huge appreciation and love for music.. but I am more of a worshipper then a music theology fanatic.
- adore spending quality time with people and could spend HOURS just talking with a cup of coffee and a good friend.
- am extremely forgetful. I forget to do things, or where I put things, or if I paid bills, or things to buy that I NEED from the store. I am trying to get better at lists and reminders on my phone.. hopefully this helps.
- do not want pets. Its not that I don't like animals. I am just not a huge fan of hair, poop, barking, stinky boxes, licking, or smelliness. My husband does want a dog... I said we could have a baby instead. hehe
- get so much joy at being a stay-at-home wife. I always wanted to be one and I love cooking, cleaning, organizing, and bill paying. I am sad when the day comes and I will have to go back to work.
- started working when I was 14. I worked at an old fashioned soda fountain every summer through high school. I loved it! Every time I am in my hometown and I stop by and say Hi to my first boss.
- have had my first and second holes in my ears pierced, my lip pierced, my nose pierced, my belly button pierced, my cartilage on the top of my ear pierced, and my tragus ('the fleshy prominence at the front of the inner part of the ear') pierced. Never at the same time... but all in a season.
- started going to church, by myself, when I was 13. I sang on worship team until I was 18. I started an all-girls bible study in high school too... I loved it!
- have always ALWAYS wanted to live in Southern California and was CRAZY jealous when my husband lived there for 9 months during ministry school. I still think we will live there someday.
- was a cheerleader all 4 years of high school. I loved cheering!
- know Chuck Norris. hehe. His step-son, Tim, was in my graduating class and his sister-in-law was my cheer coach. Small world, right? Google it.. its true. Gena O'Kelley Norris is from my hometown.
He was at a lot of our football games to watch Tim and was even one of our chaperones on our senior trip.
- met my husband through a mutual friend. He worked with my neighbor and she showed him a picture of me.. and sent me a picture of him. I wasn't too sure about him.. until she said we went to the same church, then I agreed that he could get my number. hehe.
Well I hope you all feel like you know me a little more. (:

I love this Monica! :)
Whoa I so didn't mean to comment using my old google account! Lol so here is a comment using my new account, oh and I still love it! :)
About pets, that's exactly what I say! They involve a bunch of work, and if I'm going to have to do the work of taking care of something like that...I'd rather have a baby! :P And I love being a stay-at-home wife, too!
